Noxema, the famous cream cleanser in the blue jar, that some sources state was first introduced in 1914 and is currently owned by Alberto-Culver, has a cult following. The camphor and Eucalyptus scent is very distinctive as is the texture and packaging of this cleanser.
So far nothing else removes blackheads on my nose as well or as quickly. I use it on my nose once or twice a week for that purpose alone. It is a bit too drying for the rest of my face. This is a potent product that may not be suitable for sensitive skin types.
Over the years Noxema has added new products to the range that include facial cleansing pads and various other facial cleansing products.
Noxema Original Cleansing Cream comes in a blue plastic jar with 10.75 ounces and retails for under $5.00 in most local stores.
Ingredients: Water, Stearic Acid, Linseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Fragrance, Ammonium Hydroxide, Camphor, Menthol, Eucalyptus Oil, Propylene Glycol, Gelatin, Calcium Hydroxide.
